Prolapsed uterus , as the name suggests, refers to a slipped uterus. It may occur to women of any age. When the muscles and ligaments of the pelvic floor stretch and become weak, no longer able to provide enough support for the uterus, the uterus slips down into or protrudes out of the vagina.
