Mucormycosis or the Black Fungus Disease

  A large number of people have been lately complaining about excessive running nose along with swelling and pain in the eyes and of blurred vision post-Covid-19 treatment.   The fourth and biggest phase of COVID-19 vaccination in India is set to commence on May 01, 2021, with registrations soon opening up. The drive will allow a sizable adult population above the age of 18 to get vaccinated at a time when the country is facing the worst crisis since the pandemic began.  One such recent claim has actually pushed women into raising concerns about getting a COVID-19 vaccine jab while they are in the middle of their menstrual cycle. A social media post floating around mentions that menstruation "lowers" immunity for a woman, and hence, taking a vaccine, 5 days before, during or after your periods won't be safe and may not garner a sufficient response. Against all such rumours, the truth is: Vaccines are absolutely safe, period or no period.
