In Vitro Fertilization (IVF), is a procedure that helps infertile couples bring a ray of hope in their lives. A common name today, it was not less than a suspense in the late 80s known by the name of “test-tube babies”. However, different from the later, IVF is a procedure that involves combining eggs and sperm outside the human body in a laboratory. Follicles are located in the ovary with the help of the ultrasound to remove the eggs with a hollow needle. This procedure which takes up to one hour sometimes is then followed by the combination process and finally, the fused egg is placed again in the embryo.
